The new space will seat 250 guests, featuring a free-standing 20-set bar in a renovated building from the 1950s, which Chief Operating Officer Peter Veytia III told St. Pete Rising has a “Palm Springs feel,” bringing the concept close to home, to Veytia’s mother’s Southern California upbringing.
“We look forward to debuting a truly unique space that allows us to stay true to our roots while continuing to meet the community where they are with this concept,” Veytia says in the St. Pete Rising coverage.
Currently trending dishes at Red Mesa Mercado include the Birria Platter and Quesabirria. The menu also features a selection of burritos, tacos, bowls, and street tacos with proteins like Pork Carnitas, Carne Asada, and Chicken Mojo.
