Since opening in 2021 at 1100 Central Avenue in St. Pete’s EDGE District, Pin on Cafe has built a following with its Thai and Japanese-inflected Asian Fusion. However, as the start of construction on the upcoming EDGE Collective development looms later this year, Pine on Cafe has had to search for a new location.

According to recent coverage by St. Pete Rising, the brand has found one: Pin on Cafe will move and reopen with a new name, Pin on Grand, at 1458 Central Avenue in the Grand Central District.

Owned by Som and Roger Rattanachane, the concept is a sister to Pin Wok & Bowl in Downtown St. Petersburg. Its menu features memorable noodle dishes like Miso Udon Tofu Soup, Yaki Udon (Udon noodle sauteed with your choice of protein, house brown sauce, sesame oil, egg, cabbage, onion, carrot, bell pepper and bean sprout), and more. There is also a wide range of sushi choices, including Sushi Stacks like the Red Rowel (Sushi rice, spicy tuna, tuna, cucumber, mango, jalapeno, seaweed salad, tempura flake, mango sauce, kimchi sauce, masago and sesame seed) and the Orang House (Salmon, sushi rice, pickled red cabbage, tomato, onion, avocado, cilantro, spicy mayo, kimchi sauce, masago and sesame seed).

What Now reached out to Roger Rattanachane on Wednesday to inquire about plans for the new location’s rollout. Rattanachane was not immediately available for comment.

According to the St. Pete Rising coverage, Pin on Grand will debut this August, and it will feature new additions to the menu, along with a full bar.

“We are going to offer Thai pastries and desserts, boba teas, and specialty drinks with fruit from Asia,” Som Rattanachane told St. Pete Rising.
