A new Asian fusion restaurant is preparing to open its doors on North Florida Avenue between East Minnehaha Street and East Knollwood Street in Tampa. The creation of Chef Israel Mora, Rakki will open its doors at 6705 N Florida Avenue.

“Rakki is an Asian inspired restaurant where we do a creative and unique fine-dining cuisine,” reads a description of the restaurant provided to Google. “A small gem hidden in Tampa. The menu is made from different Asian cuisines creating a fusion of flavors, textures and unique techniques. The main focus are grilled meats and seafood. We will also offer a tasting menu with wine pairing option, a vegan tasting menu and delivery service.”

The menu will feature a variety of rice and noodle dishes like Birria de Seoul Noodles and Tom Yum Risotto; a selection of sandwiches (and more) that includes a Tuna Tartare Waffle, Korean BBQ Pork Rib Tacos, and a Kimchi Grilled Cheese; and desserts like Queen Cheesecake (Passion fruit & white chocolate heart) and King Cheesecake (chocolate & peanut butter heart).

What Now reached out to Chef Israel Mora on Thursday. Mora was not immediately available for comment on the project.
