The house located at 2533 First Avenue South in St. Pete’s Grand Central District will soon be home to a new flower shop and local hangout. Launched by Anthony Diaz of Yellow Rose Hospitality, Pistil House will serve as a great local florist’s shop (including a single-stem build-your-own-bouquet service) and dabble in beer, wine, and small plates.

“We’re excited to open,” Diaz told What Now on Tuesday. “We’re targeting June 1. We’ve just moved into the space; it’s a great little house with a porch in the front yard.”

How will the space be laid out to accommodate both flower shop and cafe/bar? we asked.

“One half will have a flower bar where we’ll be prepping the flowers; then there’s a main bar with seats around it, and the front part of the house and the porch will be more focused on the wine, beer, and small plates. The rear of the house will also have more flowers.”

Diaz stresses that flowers will continue to be the focus at Pistil House. When you drop in, you’ll also be able to enjoy charcuterie, pastries, chips and dip, along with other sharables.

Keep an eye out for Pistil House opening this summer in St. Pete!
