“Shake-A-Salad was born out of a deep love for community, and a need for fresh, healthy lunch and dinner choices that were easily accessible,” the brand’s website says.

Shake-A-Salad is now leveraging its success in Wesley Chapel into a second location, expanding to New Port Richey, where it will open a restaurant at 9822 Little Road.

The Shake-A-Salad menu has been making a big impression with its baked (never fried!) chicken wings marinated in a variety of sauces, including Buffalo, BBQ, and an Asian-style marinade. There are salads like the Wesley Waldorf Salad (Spring mixed greens, chopped walnuts, fuji apple, red grapes, dried cranberries, blue cheese crumbles, grilled chicken, herb ranch dressing), Rice Bowls like Southern BBQ Grilled Shrimp Rice Bowl, and a selection of wraps like the Cyprus Chicken Wrap (Chopped romaine and iceberg, sliced grape tomatoes, diced red onions, crumbled feta cheese, dried oregano, marinated chicken, lemon garlic vinaigrette).

“We are small family business,” a representative of Shake-A-Salad told What Now on Tuesday. “It’s all homemade dressings. We buy ingredients fresh and prep everyday, with nothing packaged, no preservatives or additives.”

In addition to all this healthy food, the New Port Richey location will also be serving up beer and wine.
