Kura Revolving Sushi Bar to Open Tampa Location

Japan-based sushi brand Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is continuing to grow its U.S. footprint, with a current total 45 locations in operation and seventeen more on the way. One of these upcoming locations includes the sushi chain’s third location in the state of Florida, and its first in Greater Tampa.

Kura’s sushi menu includes a wide variety of nigiri choices, including Aburi Eel with Miso Cream Cheese, Dashi Olive Salmon, and Hokkaido Scallop.  A selection rolls features the Kura Roll (Avocado and shrimp mayo wrapped in Kura specialty sushi rice and dried seaweed with salmon topped with sesame and lemon garnish) and the Texan Roll (Spicy tuna, avocado and cream cheese wrapped in Kura specialty sushi rice and dried seaweed with tuna drizzled in spicy mayo and yuzu cream sauce topped with fried onion and sesame).

There is also a generous selection of hand rolls like the Spicy Salmon Hand Roll wrapped in seaweed and the Spicy Yellowtail Hand Roll wrapped in soy paper.

In addition to its sushi offerings, Kura’s menu also features udon soups like Beef Udon and Kitsune Udon, along with ramen varies like Miso Ramen, Shoyu Ramen, and Tonkotsu Ramen. For dessert, Kura offers a variety of mochi ice cream flavors, along with a Hokkaido Milk Creamy Tart, and Japanese Style Soy Donuts.

What Now reached out on Thursday to Kura Sushi USA Chief Development Officer Robert Kluger to inquire about the coming Tampa location. Kluger was not immediately available for comment.
