With one location already open in Sarasota, The Toasted Yolk is continuing to grow in the SarasotaManatee area—as it is all over the United States. Born and raised in Bradenton, Milton says he always planned to bring the concept to the Sarasota-Manatee area himself, setting aside that territory to develop in partnership with his wife, Kelly Milton. That plan is now starting to bear fruit, as the brand’s first Bradenton location prepares to launch at 5502 Cortez Road W. It’s expected to launch in March.

In total, about eight locations are planned for Sarasota and Manatee Counties.

“We bring a more bar-forward approach to breakfast,” Milton told What Now, discussing the concept’s growing popularity. “It has that relaxed setting, the bar drinks and boozy breakfast.”

That’s one strength, but on its own, a great boozy breakfast program often only carries the day on weekends, which is why Milton says the brand’s lunch menu is so important. “A lot of breakfast places do lunch as an afterthought, but our lunch menu is just as big as our breakfast menu.”

From the lunch menu, Milton says the most popular item is the brand’s Reuben, while for breakfast, its namesake The Toasted Yolk (Two slices of sourdough bread grilled with an egg in the middle of each. Cooked to order and served with your choice of breakfast meats) continues to shine.
