Offering “fresh, authentic French recipes from Paris,” C’est La Vie has built a following at 1553 Main Street in Sarasota. The French cafe is now preparing to brand out with another location in the Sarasota-Manatee area, this time in Lakewood Ranch. A new C’est La Vie will open at 9118 Town Center Parkway, Suite 102, according to a recently submitted plan review.

“The Lakewood Ranch location will be a little different from the one on Main Street,” Christophe Coutelle, who owns C’est La Vie along with Geraldine Coutelle, told What Now on Thursday.

Coutelle says the new location is expected to do a much higher volume of catering services, citing Lakewood Ranch’s high number of events calling for catering, as well as the smaller size of the Lakewood Ranch C’est La Vie space. C’est La Vie Lakewood Ranch will seat about 50 guests, and Coutelle says it will offer the same menu available on Main Street, except with more daily specials.

The Main Street location offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus with dishes ranging from baguette sandwiches and omelets, to seafood dishes like Scallops pan seared in Romesco sauce and Branzino chimichurri, to dishes “From the Land,” including Lamb Tajine with prune and apricot and Boeuf Bourguignon.
