“We’re working with the Urban Air real estate team now to find a location…so we’re still at the point where we’re looking for a box to lease or perhaps a built-to-suit opportunity,” Dunn tells What Now Tampa

Plans for the Tampa Bay location date back to the summer, when Dunn and Garcia – who will also be opening two locations in Salt Lake City – took stock of Urban Air’s available territories and pored over the company’s demographic reports. According to Dunn, “given the growth and the population density” in Tampa, “it really lined up with what we think will be a strong territory for our Urban Air.”

Billed as the “ultimate indoor adventure park where kids of all ages (and kids at heart) can explore thrilling attractions, challenge their body and mind, and more importantly…have a blast,” Urban Air facilities feature some 22 attractions including indoor skydiving, neon mini golf, “Wipeout”-style obstacle courses, go-karts, bowling, a traditional arcade, and more.

Likewise, each location features a cafe where guests can “take a breath, catch [their] breath, and replenish” with classic party favorites such as pizza, chicken fingers, and fries.

“We’re excited to bring another Urban Air to the Tampa Bay market,” says Dunn. “We think it fills a fun niche for family entertainment, and we’re looking forward to finding a location and building a new one.”
