A spokesperson for Naked Farmer could not immediately be reached for comment.
“UTC has become a hub for health and wellness, with its variety of fitness studios, free weekly outdoor workout classes and proximity to Nathan Benderson Park,” the Business Journal quotes Johnson as saying, “so it was a natural choice for us to grow into this area and serve the health-conscious community.”
Naked Farmer takes the farm-to-table model one step further, into territory dubbed “farm-to-fork,” thanks to its partnerships with hyper-local vendors which enable the kitchen to serve produce sometimes harvested within a 24-hour window.
Of course, with such a commitment to ethically and sustainably grown ingredients, the restaurant’s menu is seasonal. At the moment, however, diners can indulge in options like the Fall Harvest Bowl, Seasonal Salmon, or Local Farmer. Similarly, folks can always build their own bowl.
“We prepare food the way nature intended,” Johnson writes on Naked Farmer’s website. “Without fluff or filler. A little sea salt, olive oil, lemon and expertise. Our from-scratch kitchens were built by food-passionate people who celebrate locally and sustainably sourced goodness. The veggies that arrive at our back door are so farm-fresh, they don’t need much else. So good, we leave ‘em naked.”
