Founded by Marc and Cristina Ancuta, Kaia Bowls offers bowls with bases like acai, pitaya, coconut, spirulina, and more. These include the Kaia Bowl, with pure acai, granola, banana, strawberry, coconut flakes, and Nutella, and the Playa Linda, with pure pitaya, banana, pineapple, coconut milk, granola, blueberry, coconut flakes and Nutella. As these long lists show, Kaia’s bowls are packed with healthful ingredients.

Kaia Bowls also offers a selection of poke bowls like the Apikai, (salmon, nori (seaweed salad), avocado, scallions, pickled onion, mango, edamame, jalapeño, crispy onions, watercress, chia seeds, cucumber wasabi sauce), along with a build your option.

St. Pete’s first location, launched by Ancutas’ daughter Beverley and her husband Ben, will also be the first Kaia location to feature an all-vegan menu.

“Basically, the menu will be identical except for the animal proteins. We’ll have plant-based sashimi,” Beverly Ancuta told What Now on Thursday. “We’re really health-oriented here.”

Ancuta says more Kaia locations are expected as the brand launches franchising, with another new outpost expected before the end of the year, plus one more next year.

“We really want to integrate into the community,” Ancuta added, discussing the brand’s future in its soon-to-be new home of St. Petersburg. Kaia will be looking for community-focused projects to sponsor, and you can expect to see a Kaia Bowls table at local markets.
