Potbelly announced last week that it has plans to roll out three new locations in the Tampa-St. Petersburg area in the coming months. These are locations number three, four, and five for Tampa Bay franchisee STA Management, and they number among more than 80 sandwich shops currently under development agreements in the state of Florida: Potbelly is going big in the sunshine state.

The first location is opening soon at 5004 Fourth St. in St. Pete, in a neighborhood shopping center.

The second of the three upcoming locations will open at 18027 Highwoods Preserve Parkway in Tampa, joining The Walk at Highwood Preserve.

The third will open in Largo, at 13100 Seminole Blvd, where it will join restaurants like Tijuana Flats and First Watch.

“From the comforting, melty cheese of a toasted sandwich made with love, to classic photos of Jimi Hendrix shredding a guitar solo at Woodstock, Potbelly is just a fun place to be,” says the brand’s website. “We’re a first-class dive. A place to take a break from it all. Sure we make the best toasted sandwiches in all the galaxies (sorry aliens, but it’s true). But we serve them up with a smile. That’s easy when you love what you do: Making people really happy with craveable food, from our toasty sandwiches, soups, salads, fresh-baked cookies and hand-scooped milkshakes.”
