Team Behind Zukku Sushi to Launch Two New Concepts at Armature Works

Majestic Restaurant Group will launch Ling’s Dumplings and Han Hand Rolls at Heights Public Market

Heights Public Market, the food hall inside Armature Works at 1910 N Ola Ave. in Tampa, will soon welcome two new concepts from the team that brought the world Zukku Sushi. The newly minted Majestic Restaurant Group, parent to Zukku Sushi, will launch Ling’s Dumplings and Han Hand Rolls in the space formerly occupied by Zukku Sushi and Cru Cellars, according to recent coverage by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.

Zukku Sushi has food hall outposts in Tampa and Charlotte, and the Zukku brand also includes Wesley Chapel’s Zukku-San, a sushi bar and grill. The Zukku location at Heights Public Market has currently relocated to the former Bento space, and once construction is complete, it will open in tandem with Ling’s Dumplings and Han Hand Rolls.

Majestic Restaurant Group managing partner Ferdian Jap told the Journal that two concepts have been created for Armature Works but have the potential to move beyond it, and, indeed, beyond the food hall model generally.

“Han Hand Rolls will only serve guests who are seated at its counter; it’s designed as an experiential concept, where guests watch the chefs make the rolls,” says the Business Journal coverage. “Jap said on-site consumption is key to the concept, with the high-end fish and seaweed he plans to feature there. Ling’s Dumplings will utilize an off-site prep kitchen.”

What Now reached out to Ferdian Jap on Tuesday to inquire about plans for the new concepts. Jap was not immediately available for comment.
