Smalls Sliders to Open Nine Locations in Tampa Market

The franchise has signed a 9-unit deal with Purple Square Management

Growing slider franchise Smalls Sliders is preparing to build a considerable presence in the Greater Tampa area. The company recently announced that it has signed a 9-unit agreement with franchise operating group Purple Square Management for the Tampa market. PSM also signed a deal last year for six Smalls Sliders locations (they’re called “cans”) in Atlanta.

“The caliber of the Smalls Sliders brand has continuously increased since we first invested in the brand last year,” Vik Patel, CEO of PSM, said in a press rlease. “We share their team’s vision for the promising trajectory of the brand, and we wanted to continue to be a large part of its growth across markets.”

The group’s first can is expected to a launch in Q4 2024. A list of cities sited as possible spots for future development includes “Tampa, St Petersburg, Clearwater, Lakeland, Spring Hill, Sarasota, Cape Coral and Naples.”

“Florida is on track to have a very strong Smalls Sliders footprint in the coming years, and there has been clear interest for our brand from prospective operators and local communities across the state,” Maria Rivera, CEO of Smalls Sliders, said in the press release. “Having the PSM team further their development agreement is a testament to the potential of Smalls Sliders, and we’re thrilled to have their team introduce our name to Tampa.”

Smalls Sliders offers a slider with a toasted buttered bun, cheese, pickle, and its signature “Smauce,” alongside waffle fries. Since its founding in 2019 it has “disrupted the QSR industry with its stacked leadership team and robust development pipeline, furthering its rapid growth trajectory with more than 160 Cans open or under development,” says the press release.
