What Now confirmed news of the opening with co-owner Thays Medici on Friday.

Medici said the Samba Bowl opening is still too far off to share details on the menu at this time.

This leaves us guessing a bit. Few other details are yet available about the new restaurant, apart from its name, which evokes the famous Afro-Brazilian music and dance style. So we’re guessing bowls boasting recipes and ingredients from Brazil.

The Stickney Point Road location is situated on the east side of the Stickney Point Bascule Bridge, not far from The Boatyard Waterfront Bar and Grill (marked “temporarily closed” on Google Maps.)

What Now is awaiting more details as the restaurant’s opening comes closer into view, so stay tuned for updates.
