Da Place Hookah Lounge, a brand new hookah lounge, is preparing to open in Winter Haven. A recently submitted plan review shows the new lounge opening at 4537 Recker Highway, near the intersection with Hatfield Road.
“I like to have a good vibe where people can just come in and enjoy themselves in a respectable manner,” owner Noel Wandy told What Now on Wednesday. “Everybody likes to smoke hookah and hang out.”
At Da Place, guests will be hanging out in a comfortable lounge space featuring pool tables, dartboards, video game consoles, and other entertainment (including either live music or a trusty jukebox). The location is divided into two spaces, one featuring lounge seating, and the other housing games and other entertainment. There, they’ll be able to enjoy hookah and a variety of drink choices.
“It’s going to be a beautiful environment,” said Wandy. “I’m trying to bring something to Winter Haven, something people have seen before but have been missing.”
Wandy, who has already build experience in the restaurant space, says Da Place will also a feature full a kitchen further down the road.
