Deep Lagoon to Open in Lakewood Ranch Next Year

The seafood chain’s next location will open at Waterside Place

With restaurants in Naples, Fort Myers, Marco Island, and Casey Key, Deep Lagoon is preparing to expand with a new location in Lakewood Ranch. The new Deep Lagoon, which was expected to open before the end of 2023 in local shopping center Waterside Place has been delayed, according to recent coverage by Observer. It is now working to open in the shopping center, at 1540 Lakefront Drive, in January or February of next year.

Deep Lagoon offers an All-Day menu that opens with Starters like Grouper Fingers, Coconut Shrimp, Conch Fritters, and much more—check out, for example, the Big Chill Seafood Tower ($130), which features “a whole Maine lobster, four cocktail shrimp, four peel-and-eat shrimp, two medium stone crab claws, 2oz tuna tataki, six oysters (with horseradish cream & caviar), three chilled, pickled clams & three chilled, pickled mussels.”

Deep Lagoon Chef Selections include Grouper Oscar (Sauteed Fresh Black grouper served over a bed of jasmine rice, topped with fresh hand-picked lump crab meat, hollandaise sauce, asparagus & bell pepper confetti) and Hogfish Lagoon Style (Hogfish prepared in white wine, garlic, pine nuts, tomato & basil, served with butter whipped mashed potatoes & steamed broccoli.)

Opening at Waterside Place, Deep Lagoon will join food and drink spots like Osteria500, Good Liquid Brewing Company, and Kore Steakhouse.
