Glamper, a “camping-inspired restaurant and bar” concept from Forward Hospitality Group, will open in St. Pete, according to recent coverage by St. Pete Rising. It’s the second location for Glamper, which like Forward Hospitality Group concepts Good Night John Boy and Welcome to The Farm, got its start in Cleveland, Ohio.

Glamper’s Cleveland location promised “Best Views, Cold Drinks, Grilled Meats” in camping fashion. It’s currently closed for the winter.

In an interview with St. Pete Rising, Forward Hospitality Group CEO Michael Schwartz described the menu as “the type of stuff you’d eat on the Fourth of July.” Expect barbecue, burgers, and hot dogs, then, except with a “chef-driven twist on everything.”

Glamper’s camping theme will carry through with tent-inspired seating areas and an earthy color palette.

The location at 217 Central Avenue was the expected future home of the nautical bar/restaurant Nauti Duchess. Opening there, Glamper will join food and beverage concepts like Xmas Bar, Top Slice Pizzeria, and Saigon Blonde.

What Now reached out on Tuesday to Forward Hospitality Group COO Bobby Rutter to inquire about plans for the opening. Rutter was not immediately available for comment. Schwartz told St. Peter Rising Glamper St. Pete is working to open before July 4, 2024.
