Salem’s Fresh Eats Is Expanding in Tampa Bay

Local classic Salem’s Fresh Eats has been serving its proven menu in Tampa Bay since 1988. In that time, the chain has grown to include thirteen locations, from Bradenton to St. Petersburg and Tampa, to Lakeland and Winter Haven. And now, Salem’s is continuing to build on its success, with another eight locations currently under development, and with several expected to open before the end of this year.

“We really have been excited to have a menu that’s been working for us all day—breakfast, lunch, and dinner,” CEO Salem Gharsalli said of the brand’s success in a conversation with What Now on Thursday.

Gharsalli says there are two new locations to be expected before year’s end, one in Lakeland and one in St. Pete.

Meanwhile, the company recently submitted a plan review for a location at 1015 E Hillsborough Ave. in Tampa. Gaharsali says this will serve as a new home base for the company, featuring not only a new restaurant but also main offices and training facilities. It’s expected to launch in the Spring.

The Salem’s menu features combos featuring fried fish and shrimp, gyros, Philly cheesesteaks, burgers, and more. Chicken choices include Buffalo Wings, Boneless, Tenders, and Gizzards, alongside Big Bowls with proteins like fish, shrimp, and chicken.

“Tampa is our home and we’ve been very lucky here,” Gharsalli said. “We appreciate our customers and we love what we do.”
