Since 2005, Point Chaud Coffee & Crepes has been building a presence in Maryland and Washington, D.C., where it has a total of three locations. And now the brand is looking to head south, with its first Florida location set to open at the upcoming ARK Innovation Center in St. Petersburg.

“Tampa Bay/St Petersburg, in particular, has become a hub for food enthusiasts and a hotbed for innovative concepts,” co-owner Mourad Kacimi told What Now in an email conversation this week. “We believe that Tampa/St Petersburg is the perfect area to introduce our unique crepe concept, as we haven’t seen anything quite like Point Chaud in the region.”
In France, the brand’s name refers to fast food or casual eateries specializing in hot, freshly baked foods. These could include sandwiches, pastries, crepes, croissants, and the like.
Accordingly, says Kacimi, “our menu offers a diverse range of options to cater to various tastes. On the sweet side, you can indulge in classic choices like Nutella Banana, Sugar & Butter, or Fresh Apples with Brown Sugar & Cinnamon. For savory cravings, we have the traditional Cheese, Turkey/Ham & Egg, Cheese & Egg, Cheese Avocado & Tomatoes or the flavorful Feta Cheese, Artichokes, Kalamata Olives & Spinach. Additionally, we offer a Buckwheat/Gluten-free option for those with dietary preferences.”
On the beverage side: “Don’t miss our specialty drinks, including the Mokatella, a blend of Lavazza espresso with Nutella, and the Hot Chocotella, a delightful hot chocolate made with Nutella. Both options are available iced as well.”
Kacimi says the location is only the first in the area for Point Chaud.
“Our goal is to establish a strong presence in Tampa Bay and delight our customers with exceptional crepes, Coffees and warm hospitality. We are also actively exploring opportunities for expansion and hope to open more Point Chaud locations in the near future, allowing even more people to experience the unique flavors and atmosphere that make Point Chaud special.”
