Not far north of the intersection between Lake Patience Road and Land O’ Lakes Boulevard in Land O’ Lakes, a new restaurant is preparing for launch. Permit paperwork recently submitted by Resthotel Group LLC shows Del Rey Latin Food opening at 4109 Land O’ Lakes Blvd.
Behind Resthotel Group is founder Santos Tovar, a restaurateur with decades of experience in the hospitality industry. What Now reached out to Tovar on Tuesday. Tovar confirmed the existence of the Del Rey Latin Foods project but declined to make immediate comment on the matter.
As a result, it is not yet known what Del Rey’s Latin food offerings will consist of. According to the About Us section on the Resthotel Group website, Tovar’s career has taken him through Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, and Central Florida.
Situated not far north of the Lake Patience Road intersection, the 4109 Land O’ Lakes Blvd location is currently occupied by BP Gas Station and Convenience Store. To the south, in the direction of the intersection, are food and drink spots like ABC Pizza, Aroma Joe’s Coffee House & Drive Thru, and Taco de Oro.
