Open at 16541 Pointe Village Drive #110 in Lutz, super-premium ice cream shop Delectable Delights will celebrate its 8th anniversary this September. For nearly eight years it has offered Lutz more than twenty flavors of super-premium Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream, along with vegan ice cream, nostalgic candy, toys, and more. And now it’s planning to expand to a new location, this time in Winter Haven, at 245 W Central Ave.

“In my childhood in the Chicago suburbs, my family and I used to frequent this little ice cream shop,” Devra, who owns Delectable Delights, told What Now on Monday. “When I moved to Florida I couldn’t find anything like that. Then in 2014, I became a retired stay-at-home mom, and I decided to get one started. I wanted to bring a piece of my childhood to the community, something that would bring families together.”

Delectable Delights is a one-two punch that will satisfy both your sweet tooth and childhood nostalgia (or, with its selection of old-fashioned candies, both at once). Its ice cream comes in flavors like Butter Pecan, This $&!@ Just Got Serious, Exhausted Parent, Munchie Madness, Cotton Candy, Ultimate Oreo, and more, and it can come atop a brownie a la mode, in a shake or malt, or in one of Delectable Delights’ house-made waffle cones.

“We bake our waffle cones fresh daily,” said Devra. “That’s what the amazing aroma is when you walk into the shop. It’s the best smell in the world.”

Devra says the plan is for Delectable Delights to keep expanding, so be sure to follow @delectabledelightsicecream on Facebook to keep up with Delectable news.
