The “family owned cafe and country store” was originally planning on a 2024 opening but is now expected to lunch sometime after the new year.

“While we would love to say we will be opening this year, my wife and I have come to the realization that it’s quite unlikely,” says a Facebook post on the brand’s page. “In the meantime… We’re doing what we love to do. Cooking and testing our recipes, and looking for great items for our retail area of the store.”

Details are not yet available on the menu to be offered at Lutz Country Store & Cafe. What Now reached out on Wednesday to Justin Marx, owner of the store together with Lauren Marx, to inquire about the details. Marx said it’s still too early to discuss the project.

The locations is situated across from Lutz Lake, near local grocery store The Original Latin Spot, just south of the intersection with First Avenue Northeast.

“Keep up the good work!” says one encouraging comment on the Facebook post. “Can’t wait to visit… Lutz Country Store and Cafe!”
