Founded in Lansing, Michigan, Biggby Coffee boasts a total of 332 locations in the United States as of this April. The brand has many outposts in the Midwest and southeastern states and, with its location in Clearwater, already has a foothold in the Greater Tampa Bay market. Plan review paperwork says another new location is soon to open further inland, at 1207 E Canal Street in Mulberry.
“We don’t think you should need to work at loving your coffee,” reads a page on the Biggby website. “Our smooth and mellow blends and approachable roasting style are as friendly as our baristas. Whether you’re looking for a double shot of espresso straight up, a big bold cup of French Roast, or a velvety sweet Teddy Bear latte, our coffee will surprise and delight coffee newcomers and veterans alike.”
On the food side, Biggby offers baked goods like muffins, cookies, and bagels. Also available are breakfast bagel sandwiches, which come in varieties like Sausage and Egg, Ham and Cheese, and Bacon Egg & Cheese.
What Now reached out to Biggby franchisee Daniel Perkins this week to inquire about plans for the new location. Perkins declined to comment on the project, which is still in an early stage of development.
