“This Harbour Island destination will be entirely transformed in to Tampa’s only luxury athletic country club, with the first phase of amenities arriving late 2023,” says the Life Time website. Here you’ll find outdoor tennis and pickleball courts, a resort-like pool deck, expansive workout floor and four boutique studios – 36,000 square feet, all dedicated to the pursuit of healthy living.”

Plan review paperwork was submitted recently for LifeCafe, the country club brand’s signature healthy cafe, to open at 900 S Harbour Island Blvd. LifeCafe offers a menu featuring breakfast choices like the Crispy Bacon & Egg Sandwich and the Southwest Breakfast Burrito, Entrees like the LifeCafe Burger and the California Chicken Sandwich, and a selection of smoothies in flavors like the Mocha Madness Shake (organic 2% milk, organic mocha java & vanilla whey protein) and the Almond Butter Shake (Almond milk, banana, almond butter, cinnamon, chia seeds & chocolate whey protein.)

It is not yet known whether LifeCafe will open in tandem with the Life Time location or at later date. What Now reached out on Tuesday to president and chief operating officer Jeff Zwiefel on Tuesday to ask about plans for the opening. Zwiefel was not immediately available for comment.
