“It’s going to be a restaurant with authentic Southern Italian cuisine, with very fine dining, from Chef Ciro Mancini,” owner Veturia Preston told What Now on Thursday. “We’re looking to bring a level of service to Tampa Bay which we have not seen here. It’s a special vision that we’re bringing, kind of like stepping into the elegance of Old World Italy, but with a modern interpretation.”
The ultra-fine-dining restaurant will feature a dining room and outdoor terrace, plus five private dining rooms—including the ultra-exclusive Romeo and Julieta room, a private space just for two.
“We will have all homemade pasta, made in-house, plus caviar, oysters, and champagne,” Preston said, naming a few items off the menu. She also mentioned some tempting-sounding wagyu meatballs.
Valentino Ristorante will open next to Days Inn By Wyndham, joining the community of restaurants on Gulf to Bay Boulevard between US Highway 19 and South McMullen Booth Road, which includes eateries like Mellow Mushroom, Smokey Bones, Pete and Shorty’s Iowa Bistro, and Dunkin’.
Valenting Ristorante is expected to open on August 17. You can keep up with opening by following @valentinoclearwater on Instagram.
