A new pub is currently under construction at the intersection of North First Street and East Orange Avenue in Lake Wales. Opening at 126 N First St, The Thirsty Dragon will offer light eats, beer, and wine, offering special events like wine tastings trivia nights, author readings, and more, says the Thirsty Dragon website.
“Our team is happy to add an exciting new social and entertainment venue to the Lake Wales scene!” the site says. “The Thirsty Dragon brings a renewed energy to the ongoing renovation and reinvention of Downtown Lake Wales by presenting a completely new and different social experience that puts people first.”
It’s a place where you can “share conversation with friends without the overwhelming distraction of televisions and loud music.”
What Now reached out to co-owner Robert Connors on Monday to ask about the opening. Connors said it’s still too early to reveal more about the Thirsty Dragon, which is currently under construction. Stand by for updates, however, once the Thirsty Dragon is ready to officially announce its debut.
