“I’m hoping to open by December, but then again I thought I was going to be open already,” Covas tells What Now Tampa, citing various setbacks along the way and up to the impending landfall of Hurricane Ian, which is due to shut down business across the greater Tampa region this week.

Tap That Beer House will feature a domestic and craft beer wall with 40 “carefully curated” taps, which patrons can pour at their leisure using a special card that’s linked to their ID and credit card. And while the taproom won’t have a menu per se, Covas says they might offer pre-packaged snacks such as chips, pretzels, and popcorn, while encouraging folks to order food from other restaurants in the area.

Writing on their official website, Tap That Beer House explains, “With so many amazing Florida breweries, we wanted to create a neighborhood spot where you can sample a variety of craft beers in one place.”

They go on to write, “We’re proud to be family owned and operated. And we’re extremely grateful for the opportunity to establish our business in Davenport, Florida. Our mission is to treat customers like family and provide a welcoming atmosphere for all. Whether you bring friends or make new ones, we want to cultivate a positive atmosphere where friends, family, and strangers have a place to gather and make memories.”
