“In the Tampa area, there is a lack of that sort of French, European type of bakery,” Paris Baguette franchisee Baccar Ennayal told What Now on Tuesday. “When my wife and I go to New York, the first thing we do is go to different bakeries. We stumbled on Paris Baguette while we were there, and we thought, This has to come to Tampa.”

Ennayal is an established Tampa Bay entrepreneur with experience both in real estate and in the food and beverage industry. He is the owner of Garden Gyros, which has been serving up gyros, chicken wings, and more on Busch Boulevard in Tampa for about eight years.

Now Ennayal branching out with Tampa’s first Paris Baguette location. The bakery chain serves up a wide variety of baked goods, with pastries both sweet and savory, cakes, breads, baguettes, croissants, and sandwiches, alongside coffees, teas, and seasonal beverages. It’s also a great place to gather with friends.

“We have to places for people to gather,” Ennayal said. “There are a lot of restaurants and bars around, but not always the sort of place where you can get together with your friends in a nice environment.”

A recent press release says Paris Baguette is working with a goal of reaching the 1,000-unit mark in the United States by 2030, so you can expect to see a lot more of the popular bakeries around. Ennayal says he’s also planning on launching more Paris Baguette locations in the future.
